Walks and Where to Stay
Walks in and around Hayfield:
We have leaflets available in the pub containing 3 circular walks, starting and ending at the pub, with varying difficulty levels, please call in and take one!
Hayfield is situated at the foot of Kinder Scout, the Peak District’s highest point, standing at 636m above sea level with it’s wild heather moorlands and stunning gritstone crags it emphasises the dramatic Dark Peak landscape at it’s best.
But fear not, if you just want a light stroll not a full days hiking, there are shorter walks for all abilities, wether it is down the Sett Valley Trail, a 2.5 mile bridleway spanning from Hayfield to the nearby town of New Mills, or just a wander around the village.
After a day in the fresh air, return to us for hearty, locally sourced food, a warm welcome, and a well-earned drink by the fire or sat in the sun-trap of our beer garden.
